Eve Lom Illuminating Radiance Powder – Review

Due to my oily skin, I always carry a compact powder with me in my bag just for a touch up throughout the day. But compact powders always shatter (for me at least, but maybe I just have dreadful luck!) and require extra space in your bag for a good brush to go with it. Queue Eve Lom’s Illuminating Radiance Powder – the answer to all my prayers.

Retailing at a whopping £36, I was pretty ecstatic to pick this up from my local TK Maxx for only £9.

Contained within a cute little matte gold tube, this illuminating powder is applied using a built-in brush, which is actually unbelievable handy! It’s always typical that you either get too little or too much powder come out of these types of products, but I was pleasantly surprised to find this one did neither.

This powder can be used all over the face for a light shimmer effect, or as an alternative to your highlighter. It’s quite a bold shimmer that you get, but I find it works well for either. Its uses are not just restricted to the face either, it also doubles up well as a shimmer for the body.

The pot is the perfect size and shape to fit into your handbag, and it also has a screw on lid, which means you can refill it with whatever powder you want to.

I’ve fallen slightly in love with this product, and I’ve had so many compliments on how lovely my skin looked!

This product doesn’t seem to be available direct from Eve Lom’s website, which made me wonder if it was discontinued – but I’ve found it on various others, so hopefully not! I’ll be going back to see if I can find another TK Maxx bargain though!

Okay I have clearly got to start shopping at TK Maxx! I never ever look at that makeup but like I said on your other post, I suffer from the oily skin problem as well and by the middle of the afternoon all my powder foundation seems to have disappeared – if there are bargains like this to be had then I’m going to give them a look 🙂

My TK Maxx has only recently started selling makeup and skincare products – but oh my word, it’s like heaven on earth! I’ve managed to get some really lovely eye shadow palettes from Cargo Cosmetics and even some Too Faced bits too! I’ve figured out the best time to go and get bargains is actually a Friday night!

Carrying a powder around is such a good idea, I’ve actually never thought of it before. This looks like a dead handy little brush and pot combo, I like that the brush is built in. I’m interested to see what this looks like on your skin as you said it had some shimmer too it, I’m not a fan of shimmery powders but I do like a highlight.

Lovely and super aesthetically pleasing post! Personally, it can be so hard to find the right illuminator. I feel like I always do it wrong somehow, and it’s always too light or too dark. Will definitely give this a try. It will look great sitting on my vanity as well!
