Polaar Night Revitalising Cream – Review

My skin has not been my friend lately, and testing out lots (and I mean loads) of new foundations has definitely taken its toll. I’ve been in great need of a good night cream that doesn’t make my skin an oil infested mess by the time I wake up the next morning, so I decided to give Polaar’s revitalizing cream the time of day as I’ve absolutely loved their other skin care products.

Polaar has created this night cream with the main purpose of helping the skin regenerate while you sleep. It does this by speeding up the cells natural regeneration process with an ingredient called boreal algae, which apparently reacts to the light of the moon and will make your skin plump and smooth by the time you wake up. If that doesn’t make this product ten times cooler then I don’t know what will.

The cream itself has a really fluffy and soft texture to it. The application was really smooth and the cream was quick to soak in leaving a lovely matte finish. Almost straight away, my skin felt moisturised and looked healthier.

By the morning, I was really happy to find that oil hadn’t exploded out of my skin like usual, and my face still felt really soft and moisturised. My eyes also weren’t as puffy and drained as normal (woohoo!).

Retailing around £30 (depending on which retailer you buy it from) it is quite pricey. I normally begrudge paying high prices for makeup and skincare when you can generally find something cheaper that has the same results. But I’m so overly pleased with how this night cream has worked out for me that it will be going on my shopping list asap!

Have you tried this night cream? Tell me what you thought!

This sounds lovely! I’ve never actually seen this product anywhere before but in my opinion paying a little extra is always worth it if your skin loves it x

I totally agree! A lot of the cheap and cheerful moisturisers i’ve used have actually broken me out with really bad skin! x

My skin has been acting up lately too! I always say that I’m going to take better care of it but for some reason I never do. Hopefully next year I manage to develop a proper skincare routine. I loved reading you review, maybe I’ll give this a try!

Thanks my lovely. It’s not been until this year that I’ve properly got myself into a skincare routine, but it has drastically improved my skin! I didn’t actually realise how bad my skin was to begin with!

I have the same problem with oily skin. I’m still working my way through the cheaper moisturisers but none of them seem to make a difference, so I’m seriously considering shelling out a little extra on this one – your review sounds like exactly what I need!

    Hey Katt,
Sounds like you really got on with this moisturiser in particular. I actually hadn’t heard of Polaar prior to this post but it looks like it made a good difference to your skin. I’m happy that it wasn’t too oily when you woke up as this is usually the problem with most moisturisers that are thick and designed for overnight. £30 is a lot to spend on skincare, however, if it works maybe it’s worth it?

Usually I wouldn’t consider anything more than £15 for a moisturiser, but after trying this one my thoughts on expensive skincare being overrated have gone out the window!

Omg the packaging is lovely. I’m crushing on all things constellation at the moment and the packaging of this product alone makes me want to buy it.
